Which spring textures to incorporate in the living room
Move over velvet, mohair and shag. Spring is all about linens, silk blends, copper and flat weaves! This spring I’m especially eyeing these fabrics in peachy, coral and cream tones. Whether it’s a new sofa, new area rug, some new stools, new side tables or just a few new throw pillows – it’s easy to your living room a spring lift!
I think changing your area rug to something light and bright will give your living room the biggest impact change! Our rugs are usually the biggest and most defining piece in our room – so bringing in the spring colors and textures here will bring the biggest change!

Switching out your side tables or stools could also make a big change with little investment!

And lastly, just changing your throw pillows for something more fresh.

Intertwining metallic and pastel colors to create a vibrant bedroom
The bedroom is all about tranquility to me…Designs that look great but in a color palette that is soothing. The best colors to achieve this tranquil vibe are pastels. I know what you’re thinking – snoozefest. But if you use pastels as your base or accent color along with metallic like silver and gold – you can achieve fabulous, vibrant yet soothing looks! Pastel tones like light grays, light mint sea foam tones, whites, creams and peaches are among my favorites for the bedroom. White bedding should preferably be monogrammed in the same color as your walls or headboard. I always opt for:
A pastel color headboard
Brompton Tufted Wingback Velvet Upholstered Bed – Target
Velvet Tufted Headboard – Urban Outfitters
Metallic nightstands or nightstand lamps
Hexagon Side Table – Urban Outfitters
Fangio Table Lamp – Target.com
And viola – a beautiful bedroom!

I always love using carrara marble. If you know me, you know carrara is the key to my heart. I feel is transition well into any style, and always has a refreshing and expensive look! These are some of my favorite affordable carrara pieces!

The outdoors just feels more alluring when they feel beachy – it’s like being transported to a vacation! So why not make your backyard space feel more your favorite vacation with these beachy pieces:
A sisal or rug always feels instantly beachy to me:
