Where did you grow up?
Boston, on the Northshore
Who was your role model as a child?
Jean-Claude Van Damme
How would you describe your style?
James Bond with a pop of color
Why did you changed the acting for real state?
Simply because I was broke and if I didnt figure out a way to make money quickly I would have had to move back home to Colorado and that was the last thing I wanted to do. A friend from college, who was working in real estate, told me to get my license so I did. I started working with rentals and just continued working hard. It was a gradual process like anything.
Any other member in your family is in the business?
No
How did you got selected for the show “Million Dollar Listing New York”?
I went to an open casting with 3,000 real estate agents.
Do you guys have a script on what to do or say?
No, I wish! It would make my life so much easier.
Did your business changed before and after the show went live?
Yes absolutely. 90% of the real estate agents job is building a pipeline and figuring out where the next deal is coming from. Real estate is a volume business and the more people who know, the more you sell. I can only hit so many people with a postcard. Million Dollar Listing New York hits the entire world.
You are very successful now, but is there anything you regret about being in the show?
No absolutely not.
Besides NY what other cities are you planning to have an office at?
I already have offices in the Hamptons, Miami and Los Angeles, but I would also love to be on the ground in Dallas, San Francisco, Chicago and then branch internationally.
Do people recognize you on the street? (If yes, what’s the feeling)
All day, every day. People say “You’re the real estate guy!” and the feeling is awesome. I’m a walking billboard for my own business and it’s the greatest thing in the world.
How has your life changed after the TV Show?
I don’t remember my life before the TV show. I’ve been basically wrapped up in it since the beginning of 2010 when the process started.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 year?
Bigger, better, stronger with offices in international cities under my brand and then go home to two kids.
What was the last book you read?
I really don’t have time to read, but the last book I read was Jobs after Steve Jobs died.
What are your other hobbies and interests?
My adrenaline level stays pretty high non-stop so I like to exercise and lift weights with my Spanish body builder, Alejandro the Terminator, and I’ve always been a movie buff so I try to see as many movies as possible.
If you could live in another period of time, which would you choose?
2325. I think the world is going to be insane at that point.
What do you like to watch on TV?
Million Dollar Listing New York and anything on Investigation Discovery channel.
Do you support any charities?
Yes, I’m an avid support of PACER (the National anti-bullying charity), Walk of Arts Kids, amFAR, Pink Agenda Gala for Breast Cancer Awareness, and Habitat for Humanity.
What do you do in your free time?
Sleep.
What’s your favorite quote?
“I’d rather regret the things I did than the things I never tried.”
So for the proposal you closed Times Square that was amazing, so we can expect for the wedding to be at the Vatican?
Neither Emilia or I are very religious, so the Vatican would be a weird choice but as of now we plan on getting married in Athens and I will pay all the Greek gods to show up (Zeus, Poseidon, etc.)
Do you guys have plans already for the wedding?
Summer 2016
What do you think of Social Media?
I think social media was an inevitable form of technological communication and we now don’t know how to live life without it.
