Sophie has written close to 500 songs. Sophie’s solo single “Two Young Lovers” released on October 20th is currently on Apple Music playlist “Taylor Swift’s Favorite Songs.” It was also featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist and has already gained over 250 thousand streams on Spotify.

Hi! I’m 18 and I write, sing, and produce pop music.
Describe yourself in 3 words?
Creative, dedicated, and focused.
How did you get started?
I started singing before I could talk, so music came very naturally for me. I started writing when I was 9 and really fell in love with making music.
When was it that you first realized that you wanted to pursue music as a career?
I decided to pursue music as a career when I started writing.
Best advice ever given?
Trust your instincts.
Do you have any music influence?
Taylor Swift was my first major influence.
Do you get nervous before a performance?
Yes, but mostly excited.
Do you have a favorite song? Why?
I don’t have a favorite song. I’ve listened to so many amazing songs in my life that I don’t think I could ever pick a favorite.
Tell us about your single “Two Young Lovers”?
I wrote it last summer and decided to release it on a whim. I started the production and uploaded the song in a month’s time. It was scary releasing it independently and I almost didn’t, but it has gone really far on it’s own and I am so happy I did it.
Now tell us about “Limitless?”
A friend introduced me to Sam’s manager over email, and I sent him the acapella for “Limitless.” I had written the song with Meron Ryan and Lindsey Saunders months earlier, but no one was interested in it. Sam ended up producing a version that was amazing, then he signed to Dim Mak and “Limitless” ended up being the first single off his EP. It is a pretty incredible feeling. Knowing that a song I loved creating with people I love to work with connected with so many people is truly the reason I write songs.

Fun, fresh and honest.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Headlining a world tour, multiple number ones, and making a difference in the world.
Any exiting news you want to share with us?
I have new music coming out really soon that I can’t wait for you to hear, and some exciting collaborations to be announced later this year.
If you weren’t singing, what would you be doing?
Writing.
What hidden talents do you have?
I am an amazing chef.
3 things you can’t leave your house without?
Sunglasses, lip balm, and my phone.
What music do you like?
Top 40.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Staying at home in my pajamas all day reading or watching Netflix.
How’s a normal day in your life?
I wake up around 7am, make a cup of coffee and start going through my emails. I like to get all of my business done in the morning so I have time to be creative later in the day. Sometimes I have writing sessions at 1pm, but most of the time I work alone.
What is your favorite healthy food?
A good salad.
And your favorite cheat food?
Chocolate cake.
Do you support any charities?
Yes, being charitable is very important to me. I co-wote a song called “Firefly” that has been used as a theme song for ACT Today! Autism Care and Treatment and Firefly Autism. I hope to use my music as a platform to help heal the world.
What do you think of Social Media?
I think it is an amazing way to connect with people, but it can be overwhelming. It has been incredible for artists because it gives us a platform that we didn’t have before. I really enjoy social media, but I find that balance is key.
