Tammy Rivera states, “I wanted to make swimsuits for all body styles. Women don’t need to have the perfect figure to wear my line of swimsuits. I don’t want people to have to change how they look to wear my brand. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland.
How’s a typical day in your life?
My typical day is getting my daughter off to school, taking calls and answering emails. We are still filming Love and Hip Hop ATL, so my days are bit hectic when I have to film.
How has your life changed after being on television?
My life has changed drastically. Our lives play out on television and people think they know everything about you from a few minutes. There are pros and cons but this platform I believe has helped us all establish our businesses and projects.
How is your relationship with the other cast members?
I have a good relationship with most of the cast. We have a lot of new people, so I am just getting to know them.
Who knew you could sing! Tell us about your music and why this is so special to you?
This project is very special to me because I was able to team up with the talented Rico Love. My music is a true reflection of what I have experienced along with other women. I can’t wait for you all to hear this project.
What do you think makes a women beautiful and why?
I believe what makes most women beautiful is their brains and personality. It’s not what’s on the outside, what matters most is the inside.
Tell us about your successful swimwear line “T.Rivera”?
T. Rivera swimwear is a designed to be a fun, sexy and eye catching line for women of all sizes and body styles. I don’t want people to change how they look in order to wear T. Rivera.

Where do you get the inspiration?
My fans actually inspire me.
What would you say are the greatest lessons you learned so far?
1. In order to find happiness you have to be happy with yourself first. You can’t find it in someone else.
2. Put God first, nothing in life will prosper without God.
How do you and Waka manage to have such a busy life and separate it from your family life?
It’s definitely hard. You have to find ways to make it work. Sometimes you have to bring your family to work.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Living comfortable with my husband and daughter. Continuing to build my brand in both music and fashion.
What was the last book you read?
The last book I read was Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
What would be the dream holiday, and who would you go with?
Well my dream holiday would have to be my birthday, with the loves of my life my daughter Charlie and husband Waka. It would definitely be in the middle of the ocean on a yacht. I love being surrounded by water its so soothing.
How did you stay fit?
I stay fit by watching what I eat. I have to make sure I watch my starch intake and I am a firm believer in drinking a gallon of water a day.
What do you do in your free time?
With filming a hit show, recording my new album, and designing my second swimwear line TRivera I don’t have much free time. When I do have free time I enjoy relaxing in my home with no makeup or wigs, all while watching Lifetime and or surfing the web.
What do you like to watch on TV?
I love watching Lifetime and HSN. One day I want to have a line on HSN.
3 things you can’t leave your house without?
I cannot leave home without my purse, phone and watch.
Your idea of a perfect Sunday is?
Spending time with family and relaxing!
Do you support any charities?
Each holiday season my husband and I do our annual Turkey Giveaway and Christmas giveaway for families in need.
What do you think of Social Media?
I love social media; it allows me to connect with people who support Waka, our businesses and me. Social media has also become one of my streams of revenue, so I absolutely love it.
